Denver Trip

My boys and I decided to take a trip to visit Jessica and her family while Justin went on a backpacking trip with his dad and brothers. We loved staying at her beautiful new house and my boys loved playing with her kids.

We went to the pool the second day we were there. Jace of course loved it and I was surprised that Zack loved it too. I had taken him swimming a couple weeks before and he just clung to me the whole time. This time he ran in and played in the pool with out me! It was great! Tyson didn't like the pool and first but didn't mind it too much after a while. Jace and CarterZack and Cali riding their "horses" in the pool!
Tanner loved to play with Tyson! He was a big helper!Tyson LOVED to climb their stairs! We don't have stairs at our house but he learned really quick and would cruise up the stairs as fast as he could!

All the kids with their ice cream cones.I was surprised how well Zack and Cali got along! They loved to play with each other instead of with the big boys.
Jess and I got lots of shopping in!!! I have to admit that I am pretty sure I am a shopaholic! I love it!!! Especially when I find good deals!
I am glad they now only live 6 hours instead of 16 hours away!

24th of July

Zack started out the 24th of July chilling in the pool with his 3 good friends Nic and Austin.

Then it was over to our friends house to do fireworks!
Tyson loved the idea of being outside with everyone but quickly changed his mind when the fireworks would go off. He hated the noise! He would start to scream every time a firework would go off, even if it was a quieter one. So, Justin started to cover his ears every time and he seemed to enjoy it after that.
Zack loved catching the parachutes and doing sparklers..... until he grabbed the hot end of his sparkler, then he was done. Jace was off lighting the smaller fireworks and parachutes with his friend Jordan. I don't think they would even watch the fireworks. Once they had one lit they were off to light another one.

Zack's 4th Birthday

For Zack's 4th birthday he wanted a cowboy party. Everybody that knows Zack knows how much he LOVES cowboys!!! It was a really fun party with his good friends.
They each got their own cowboy hat and bandana. We played some fun cowboy games. Their favorite game was "There's a snake in my boot!" I would hide a snake in a cowboy boot and they had to pick which one it was in. They thought it was hilarious!!! Of course what's a cowboy party without a gun fight!

This little girl has a HUGE crush on Zack.

We LOVE our little cowboy Zack! He always says and does the cutest things that just make you smile and laugh! Happy Birthday Cowboy!!!

Moonshine Arch

We went on hike to Moonshine Arch while Grandma and Grandpa were in Vernal for Tyson's birthday.

Tyson LOVES going hiking in our chest pack! He kicks his feet and giggles the whole time!Jace, Zack and Jordan who is Jace's best friend and our 4th son! He and Jace are inseparable. They like to do everything together and are always begging Justin to take them hiking and fishing.

Zack loves to hike and climb mountains BUT when he is done, he is done! Thanks Grandpa for carrying Zack when he wouldn't go any further!!

Tyson's 1st Birthday

I can't believe my baby boy is 1!! Time has gone way too fast!!
He's lightened up but is still super cute!!

Tyson had such a good 1st birthday!!! He got a bike trailer so he can go on bike rides with the family!!! He loves it!
Tyson loved opening his presents and really loved playing with the balloons. His favorite thing was a tag that came on one of the toys. He would throw all the other toys and crawl for the tags, it was funny!Grandma and Grandpa came up to celebrate Tyson's birthday. We always love when they come to visit us!
Tyson wasn't too sure what to do with the cake. He tried to grab the flame on the candle instead of blowing it out. He wasn't too sure about the frosting. He would touch it and then make a funny face. He wasn't up for getting too dirty!
I think he ended up liking the plate more than the cake! He is the best little boy! He is almost always happy and loves attention!

Summer Thus Far

Today Jace came running inside so excited to show us what he had taught Zack to do. When we got outside he helped Zack onto his bike, and Zack took off without his training wheels. He hasn't learned how to stop yet so he just slows down and falls over.

North Fork Camping Trip

Over the 4th of July weekend we decided to go on a last minute camping trip up on the Red Cloud Loop road. We found a nice spot close to the North Fork of the Ashley which is a small river up on the mountain by our home.
Jace and Zack worked really hard to keep the fire going, since that has to be their favorite part of camping.

At night it got pretty cold so we kept our tent heater on until it ran out of propane around 4:00 am. Tyson did not sleep very well that night so were awake most of the night.

Matt Warner Resv.

For family night a couple of weeks ago we decided to go up to one of the local lakes to catch some rainbow trout. The first hour there was windy and the fishing was really slow. Finally Jace had a fish on and within a few seconds I had a fish on. Below is Jace and I fighting our fish at the same time.

As long as we kept food in Tyson's mouth he seemed to be happy, although I do not think he liked wearing his life jacket.

Fathers Day

For fathers day we went up to Salt Lake to spend some time with our family before we ditched our boys off for the whole week with my parents. At the Carters all of the grand kids got cowboy hats

At the Watkins family BBQ on Saturday night all of the cousins got together and put on a show for the adults. Below is them singing songs

Coach Pitch
Baseball

This year Jace played coach pitch baseball for the Dodgers . Jace is absolutely nuts about baseball and plays really well. Above is Jace up to bat and below he is on 3rd base.

Below is Jace playing 1st base which is his favorite place to play.

Jones Hole Fish Hatchery

Every year Jones Hole fish hatchery lets kids come and fish in the holding ponds to help get rid of the fish. Every kid that comes is able to keep two fish and the fish range from 10 inches to 22 inches. Jones Hole is also a 4 mile creek that empties into the green river. After fishing we hiked down the creek to see the Indian petroglyphs but did not quite make it since it was hot and the boys were worn out.
Below are the boys feeding the fish some pellets.

Fish that escape from the hatchery end up in these big ponds below. This is Zack landing his first fish.

Zack ended up catching the biggest fish and was even brave enough to pose for a pic.
