Killing Tiff's Addiction

Red neck fun with the Boys!
Saturday afternoon, before our beloved Utes lost, we ventured out to help Tiffany get rid of her habit of drinking soda. We don't really have a year supply of anything except diet cherry pepsi.
Above is the evidence of two 12 packs. We left her one 12 pack hidden away in the cupboard just incase she goes through some crazy withdrawls.

This is our new mud room that we put together while listening to our beloved Utes. Thanks Dad for helping me with the wood work!

Halloween

I took the boys to Salt Lake the weekend before Halloween for the Watkins annual Halloween/Gerricks Birthday party. Jace really wanted all of us to dress up as "army guys" for Halloween so that is what we were.

One of our neighbors brought the fire truck to our trunk or treat. My boys loved it! They had fun trick or treating!

Tiff 28th Birthday

I had a really wonderful birthday! Mary and Rob offered to come down for the weekend to watch the boys while Justin took me on a date for our birthday. It was a really nice of them to come and we really enjoyed having them here. Justin took me to Stockmans for dinner (all you can eat steak--we couldn't even finish the first steak) but it was really yummy. We wanted to see a movie, but they didn't have anything good playing at the theater. So what did we do? We went to the high school football homecoming game! Pathetic I know, but there is really nothing else to do in Vernal. It was still a fun night out with Justin!

We have been wanting to get a Wii for a while but could never justify buying one. So we decided to get one as an early Christmas present so Jace and his friends could play in our house when it gets too cold to play outside. He surprised me by getting it for my birthday. Jace was so good not to tell me what they got me--until he said "mom, can I play the Wii we got you for your birthday in the morning?" Then I said "what" and he said it again. Needless to say Justin wasn't too happy. Poor Jace, he can never keep secrets no matter how hard he tries!

Witches and Pumpkin Patch Fun

I took the kids to Salt Lake over UEA weekend (Justin was on call so he couldn't come) to go to the pumpkin patch with their cousins. We went to see the witches at Gardner Village then over the pumpkin patch to get pumpkins. The kids had lots of fun and were good most of the time.

The Watkins cousins at Gardner Village

Jace loved the witches playing baseball (its his favorite sport right now)

Grandpa taking the kids for a ride in the wheel barrel. Zack wanted his own wheel barrel. He thought it was too crowded for him.
Zack really loves and is attached to Grandpa. He took Zack around the whole pumpkin patch until they found the perfect pumpkin for Zack.

Zack and Kinnedi-- it looks like Zack is taking her for a ride around the patch--Such cute cousins!
They loved playing the trailer with all the hay. They thought that was just the coolest thing!
Now its Jaces turn to take Kinnedi for a ride

They wanted one last picture in front of the tractor. We had so much fun with all of our families while we were down their! We can't wait to go back--except for the 3 hour drive :)

Gingerbread cookies

Last week Jace made Ginderbread men cookies at school. He really wanted to make some at home so we did. His friends then came over to play and wanted to help make the cookies. They each had their own rolling pin and thought it was pretty cool that they got to roll the dough and use cookie cutters to make their cookies. We baked them and then they got to frost and decorate them. Needless to say my kitchen was a disaster but hey had tons of fun!

I showed these pics to Justin before offering him a cookie. I don't know why but he said he didn't want one. I can't imagine why he didn't want one? I did make one batch of cookies that was kid free. He did eat those.

Last week was Crazy Week to kick off the read-a-thon and for the year. These are Jaces best friends that live across the street. They are a little older than Jace but they have been such good friends to Jace and Zack.

1st Day of Kindergarten

Jace started Kindergarten last Thursday and absolutely loves it! He was a little worried at first but also very excited. He thinks it is funner than preschool and doesn't complain about going, yet. Hopefully he will continue to enjoy it and make a lot of friends!

Weekend Warriors

Last weekend Tiff let me go on a little fishing adventure all by myself. I hiked into lower and middle rock lakes and later on hiked over to angel lake. At angel lake I dropped our camera into the lake and killed it. This is second time that I have killed a camera with water. This week we bought a new water proof camera, so I talked the family into a little day hike up to angel lake.

To get to this secret lake there is no trail, however you follow stacks of rocks called kerns and marks in the trees called blazes. I did mention this part to my family, but failed to mention about the rest of the hike...
...such as the big boulder field we had to cross. At this point there was a lot of whinning and even some cursing of Justins name.
We all caught a lot of grayling. Grayling are a type of fish that are fairly stupid. Throwing a fly to a gralying is like giving a dog a treat, they never turn you down. I knew this lake would be a great place for everone to catch fish. This is Tiffany posing with her fish.
And this is what happens when the fish flops off the fly!
This was Jace's first time catching grayling.

Zack had the easiest ride, but was the most tired by the end.
