Baseball

 Jace played fast pitch baseball this year for the Texas Rangers in the Babe Ruth League.  Jace absolutely loves to play baseball.  Jace was one of the pitchers for his team and surprisingly was pretty good at it.  He also played first base and short stop.  He really wanted to be the catcher, not sure why, probably because they get to wear all the cool gear.

 About half way through the season we got a phone call asking if Jace wanted to be on a traveling team.  One of the big tournaments he went to was right here in Vernal.  We were camping the weekend of the Tournament but Jace was able to make a couple of the games on Saturday.

 Since we were camping close by town, Grandma and Grandpa Watkins, Abby and Joslynn got to come see one of Jace's games.

 At the end of the season we got another phone call letting us know that Jace made the Vernal All Star team.  On the All Star team he pitched and played 3rd base.  Jace even got a picture of him pitching in the local papers.  He was way excited about that and carried that paper with him to show everyone.

 The other two boys spent a lot of time at the ballpark "watching" Jace play, while living off of concession food and candy.

Spartan Race 2012

Justin, Trent, Todd and Cameron did the Spartan Beast race in Midway.  They did the relay race where they each did a leg of the 12 mile race (Cameron and Justin did the same leg).  Justin, Todd and Trent then did the last leg of the race together and got REALLY muddy!!

 The Airforce had a booth there and if you could do 10 pull ups you got a shirt.  Jace was so tough he did all 10 pull ups!

Gerrick and Megan got married on June 22, 2012.  It was a beautiful but very windy day.  They are such a cute couple and we are happy to have her in our family.  Tyson was a little stinker for pictures both at the temple and at the reception but we were still able to get some good ones.

Watkins Camping Trip-Lodgepole

 We had our Watkins family camping trip this year at Lodgepole Campground by Flaming Gorge.  It was beautiful weather and we all had lots of fun.  Everybody's favorite thing was floating the river.  We rented 2 rafts and then took Justin's drift boat for the younger kids/moms.  The kids all had a blast and nobody got stuck for too long.
