Summer Thus Far

Today Jace came running inside so excited to show us what he had taught Zack to do. When we got outside he helped Zack onto his bike, and Zack took off without his training wheels. He hasn't learned how to stop yet so he just slows down and falls over.

North Fork Camping Trip

Over the 4th of July weekend we decided to go on a last minute camping trip up on the Red Cloud Loop road. We found a nice spot close to the North Fork of the Ashley which is a small river up on the mountain by our home.
Jace and Zack worked really hard to keep the fire going, since that has to be their favorite part of camping.

At night it got pretty cold so we kept our tent heater on until it ran out of propane around 4:00 am. Tyson did not sleep very well that night so were awake most of the night.

For family night a couple of weeks ago we decided to go up to one of the local lakes to catch some rainbow trout. The first hour there was windy and the fishing was really slow. Finally Jace had a fish on and within a few seconds I had a fish on. Below is Jace and I fighting our fish at the same time.

As long as we kept food in Tyson's mouth he seemed to be happy, although I do not think he liked wearing his life jacket.

Fathers Day

For fathers day we went up to Salt Lake to spend some time with our family before we ditched our boys off for the whole week with my parents. At the Carters all of the grand kids got cowboy hats

At the Watkins family BBQ on Saturday night all of the cousins got together and put on a show for the adults. Below is them singing songs

Coach Pitch
Baseball

This year Jace played coach pitch baseball for the Dodgers . Jace is absolutely nuts about baseball and plays really well. Above is Jace up to bat and below he is on 3rd base.

Below is Jace playing 1st base which is his favorite place to play.

Jones Hole Fish Hatchery

Every year Jones Hole fish hatchery lets kids come and fish in the holding ponds to help get rid of the fish. Every kid that comes is able to keep two fish and the fish range from 10 inches to 22 inches. Jones Hole is also a 4 mile creek that empties into the green river. After fishing we hiked down the creek to see the Indian petroglyphs but did not quite make it since it was hot and the boys were worn out.
Below are the boys feeding the fish some pellets.

Fish that escape from the hatchery end up in these big ponds below. This is Zack landing his first fish.

Zack ended up catching the biggest fish and was even brave enough to pose for a pic.
