Tyson 9 months

Tyson had his 9 month check up and is doing great! He is still the best baby we have had! He sleeps really good at night and takes 3 naps a day. He is the first kid that we have not had to lay down with him to get him to sleep. We just put him in his crib and he goes to sleep! So nice! He has gone from rolling everywhere to army crawling all over the house! He loves to eat and he LOVES his 2 big brothers. He just learned to play pat-a cake and absolutely loves it!

Easter

Tyson LOVED helping me fill the eggs with candy! He thought it was so cool to shake the eggs!
We started Easter weekend with an Easter egg hunt at one of our friends houses. The boys loved running around their big yard and finding the eggs.

After that, we came home and had our really good friends over to color eggs and go on another egg hunt. I don't think kids ever get tired of finding eggs! Next, my friend and I left the boys home and went shopping! It was a really fun weekend with good friends. I just wish we could have gone to Salt Lake to spend it with family. Hopefully next year Justin won't have to work!

The boys with their presents that Grandpa and Grandma Watkins mailed to them. They loved getting their own package in the mail and then eating the candy and playing with their toys!
Easter morning! As always a fun relaxing morning with lots of candy and hard boiled eggs!

Tyson was into everything! He even started army crawling REALLY good that morning. I guess candy was the big incentive to start crawling!

Jace's Wrestling Season

Jace just finished his 2nd wrestling season with Uintah's Tiger League. This year Jace turned out to be a good wrestler. He went undefeated in his dual meets, took 2nd place at Altamonts tournament and today he took first place at the Vernal Tiger League tournament.

Jace with his 2nd and 1st place medals.

Below is Jace wrestling his championship match and shooting a single leg take down on his opponent.

Zack and I coaching Jace. I absolutely love the sport of wrestling; however it makes me so uptight and nervous to watch Jace. After todays tournament I asked Jace if he would rather play basketball next year. He said, "maybe. Why?" I told him I don't think I can handle another season of wrestling.

This was Jace's last dual meet. The person he was suppose to wrestle did not show up, so one of the Dad's on the other team grabbed his son to wrestle Jace. When Jace saw how small the kid was he was to wrestle he looked up at us a gave a smirk. The poor kids dad was not happy when Jace pinned him right off the bat.

Altamont, Utah Tournament
Early in the season Jace and I drove to the small town of altamont to wrestle in their tournament. The Uintah basin (from Duchesne to Vernal) takes wrestling very serious. Jace wrestled some tough kids and ended up taking second. His second to last match was back and forth the whole time and within the last 20 seconds Jace ended up pinning his kid. He looked up at me after his match and we both gave each other the look of "man you got LUCKY"! That match got him into the championship round, and as I was explaining that if he won his next match then he would take first, he stopped me and said, "does that mean I will get a medal"? He was happy when I told him that no matter if he won or lost he would get a medal at this point.
The video below if his first kid he wrestled at the Altamont tourny. The matches got really tough after this kid and so my video and picture taking skill went downhill rapidly.

Moonshine Arch

This morning we ventured out to Moonshine Arch, which is just past Steinaker Reservoir. The temperature was a nice mid 40's, which could not be better for this time of year and this part of the country. Jace brought along his good friend Jordan.
Picture from under the arch.
There were some wind tunnel/caves adjacent to the arch that the boys loved to climb and explore.

Jace and Jordan kept asking if they could climb around on different parts; however one time they disappeared and by the time Zack and I caught up with them we found them on top of the arch. Below is a pic of Jace and Jordan on top of the arch before I made them get down.

This past week Jace and Zack have been watching a lot of the Man vs Wild episodes. In the show Bear Grylls is a maniac and climbs up all sorts of mountains. Apparently this show has influenced Zack, because he was fearless around cliffs and wanted to climb up every mountain we came to. At times he made me real nervous, so I would follow him and hold onto the loop of his backpack.

After exploring the arch a bit we hiked up over the face of the mountain and tried to find a different way back to our truck.

We ended up hiking/running down the face of this mountain, which did not look to bad while we were on it. Once we got to the bottom we looked back and could not believe what we had just come down.

Tyson-2 months old

I am a little late posting this but here are Tyson's 2 month growth stats:
Weight: 10 lbs 13 oz (20th %)
Height: 23 inches (42%)
Head: They didn't tell me the size but his head is only in the 30 %. Both Jace and Zack's heads were in the 90-100%.He is doing really well and the doctor said everything looks great! We gave him his first haircut/trim 2 weeks ago. Before we cut his hair I measured it and it was 2 inches long!

Tyson loves his jumper! He was jumping and laughing so I went to get my camera. I came back just minutes later and this was how I found him. Poor guy was all jumped out and sleeping.
