Carter Family Camp 2012 Lodgepole
We went up to Lodgepole Campground over Labor Day weekend for the Carter Camping trip.
Tanner, Carter and Jace are the best of friends. The did everything together but especially loved having air soft wars!
Zack hung out with the Kinnedi and Cali for awhile but soon Zack was no where to be found. I went looking around and found him in our tent. When I asked what was wrong he said "I am tired! Those girls wear me out!!" It was quite funny!
Tyson fell and got a cut on his nose! Poor kid always gets hurt camping.
We turned on Bob the Builder in Jessica's motorhome for Tyson but Addy soon zoned in too!
The kids playing in the rain
Justin took Zack and Tyson fishing to get a break from all the little girls. Poor Zack was just to young to do the airsoft wars with the big boys!
All the girls in the cute shirts Jess gave us
Grandpa Carter with Tyson and Addy
All my boys trying to catch crawdads
Feeding the ducks and the fish
Flaming Gorge overlook in the rain--gotta love mom's pink umbrella!

McConkie Ranch (Indian Petroglyphs)
Recently I found out that just down the road about 5 miles from our home
is one of the biggest collections of Indian Petroglyphs. The land is
all private, but the land owners allow access onto the land and have
nice developed trails and signs all along the way.
The parking lot was lined with old elk and deer antlers and had a bathroom and little shack with water in a fridge. They go off the honor system and ask for $2 donation per car and $1 per water.
There were two different trails/loops to take and from end to end of each loop was maybe a mile or more. We took a bunch of pictures so here are some of our favorites.
Head Hunter
Big Foot
Bear
Twins
Family
UFO crop circles?
Below is the famous 3 kings panel. It took us a minute to find them on the mountain side since they are way up high on the cliff. The picture below is looking right at them.
These are the 3 kings zoomed in a bit.
And finally zoomed in more for a close up. These kings are life sized but you can't tell until you zoom way in on them. These were by far our favorites.
